I legitimately think Nomad is in many ways the basis of the game. Building out your base strategically, considering which resources are where. Placing importance of both water and land aspects, without it being unbalanced between them.
Moreso than Arabia, where your base is already decided by...
They are?
Hmm, as quite some people have pointed out, making content (articles), is a niche which hasn't really been taken, and aoezone likely would be a good place for it.
It also would be a lot of work.
After those 3 toppers, you always had 1-2 chinese teams, Vietnam, Heresy, who could fill out the rest of the tournament.
Keep in mind, in 1v1's, for a long time, there also were very few people who had a chance of winning tournaments. Only like 1... That also significantly increased over the...
Suomi has always been competitive (perhaps not at the same level, but definitely a shot at winning), at least as far back as BOA 2. In BOA 1, they lost 3-2 vs TyranT. A 3-2 isn't the result of a non-competitive team.
Hmm, It's TaToh, he's a fantastic player, and one whom I think usually performs better when up against his teammates. (compared to DauT for example, whom I'd argue performs better when up against others.)
Viper also isn't at his peak anymore (he has competition). But he's still definitely...
I like the idea of regional units. I do think they shouldn't be limited to a single civ, and I like the execution ala camel, eagle, pala(for Europe to some degree, I think Cumans are the only ones left outside of Europe who have them, and you probably could give them savars as well), or steppes...
I mean, sure it will reflect something, but is aoestats.io correct? I thought the site wasn't updated anymore. I usually used aoepulse.com, but there were some issues with that as well once. I don't know whetherr or not it got fixed.
The DLC isn't even out yet, why are you now already complaining about the balance of a civ which isn't playable yet... Can't we first let things roll out, then we'll see about balance changes.
Didn't survivalist do something like that a while back, like an 18 pop trush -> relatively fast castle with karambits. I think he had at least some succes with it back then, and I'd imagine iit would be a lot better now.
I mean, theys still have +2 vills and cheaper techs, now you'll just be able to maintain tc production. Essentially it made the civ a whole lot easier to play, whilst nerfing it only slightly at the top level(perhaps like 5 second behind in tc working time.
On the changes themselves, Spanish...
Halbs don't counter halbs though, that's the difference. Now Champs destroy halbs(1v1, or in gold value, if halbs are trickled), and skirms, but they only win relatively slightly vs Hussars(Who also run away a lot faster). This whilst they are meant to be trashkillers, who probably should be...
Longevity seems like quite a decent argument tbh...
I do understand why the tournament was aoe4 though, the second argument makes sure of that.
Of course it also set bad blood by the more established aoe2 community, which has by now pretty much proven to be quite an important factor, but at...
