at beginning i used to be worried that aoe2 competive scene is dying as it was big part of my entertainment. lack of competive tournaments made things boring and i stopped caring. right now i already dont give a **** who wins some b-tier event or stops playing altogether, fortunately ive got...
liereey always kept playing other games too, no suprises here
also, keep in mind that according to liquipedia, the only upcoming above-b-tier tournament for aoe2 is master of socotra next month, other than that we will have boa in june? and kotd in maybe 10 months so hard to expect competive...
for me seems like EGC is doing great job for aoe4 and i really feel that aoe2 needs some organizations like this, with passion and resources, god i miss redbull now
its time to realise that our golden era for aoe2 ended, hopefully it bounces back to a reasonable lvl. but i dont believe we ever...
well wololos & hidden cup hype, hera's crazy grind and viper's vulnerability certainly pushed the scene to highest lvls past year. now we have less competition, no ladder activity, no hera, barely any lierey and snek out of anyone reach so we got back kinda to 2018 11
in terms of funds allocations it's all good or goodish as long as hidden cup, the biggest and most viewed of all aoe tourneys, will not get less microsoft funding than nili's cup
new aoe game comes finally, people who have played aoe2 for living for last 15 years give it a try becouse why not, and some bored nerds loose their **** couse its been two months of aoe2 stagnation with just one Stier tourney in meantime, that took like 3 weeks btw 11
my advice- no fav aoe2...
thats true regarding empire wars and arabia, but seeing how dominant snek is on arena and dm and how well he can play anything else (he seems to be his worst enemy tbh), he is number 1 and will be for some time yet
