Yes, they already have a sub-par lategame tech tree and I am saddened to see the devs ruined what has been the civ's feel for 20 years in order to appease the infantry stans.
I think Militia line already have a well defined role in the game and do not require any overhauls.
Their anti-building damage bonus makes them really good at forcing "stand your ground and fight me" decisive pushes.
You can retreat from Knights or Archers and leave your buildings behind...
It's interesting that they were all destined to face each other.
Yo - Viper in the quarters, whoever won that would face Liereyy in the semis and the winner of that would face Hera in the final.
Edit: I'm not saying that the seeding was bad, just really thought it made things more entertaining...
Fix what bro? The game is working as intended. Unit in proximity of gate -> gate unlocks.
I don't think the devs should do anything about it. The fix would just be another "auto feature" where the game plays itself for you when you can already just lock the gate yourself.
I think some of the GL players might be doing that. I can't remember where, but I think I saw a funny clip compilation that appeared to contain PoV footage (and audio) from a BoA match. I think it might've been one of Viper's break compilations.
Both teams are really strong and I agree that AM looks a little more solid.
But let us not forget that they have not yet tasted defeat in a single game this tournament. I think that if GL manages to score an early win it might break AM's mental flow a little bit by ruining the perfect streak...
My only concern about this is that we are starting to think of design decisions that are catering towards a specific meta.
It would be implying that the only way to play 4v4 is 2 archer flank, 2 cav pocket. I am not saying it's not frustrating to play against the same cheap comps over and over...
