I uploaded an AOE2 HD 2013 STEAM version of the Mod with Wildfire Games' permission here:

That's a good suggestion, Marcio. It was helpful.
Tsunami Studios' Cofounder Dan/David Bayne in CT (AKA "QDigga" and "Inquizative"; [email protected])'s email bounced. But today I found and messaged him on:

In 2001, Stan “The Conquistador,” JiangjunIzzy/“Cherub Izzy”/“Ballista_Turtle,” “Cian McGuire,” and Tsunami Studios made a Campaign called “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms - Episode I v 1.02” with a Mod called “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms.”...
The Forgotten Empires Patch ( https://www.forgottenempires.net/install) says that it fixes the original AOE2's graphics problems... but it's made for the original, CD version.
Yodan,
When I run the original AOE2 Demo on Windows 7, the same purple and red graphics show up, but the problem goes away when I run the demo with the Desktop's "Screen Resolution" program running in the background. In the case of the Compatibility Patch however, that does not solve the problem.
I also used Task Manager's Process list to turn off Explorer.exe, and then used "New Task" in Task Manager to start age2_x1.exe while the Explorer.exe was disabled, and that did not make it work either.
Thanks for writing, Yodan. I tried Options #1-4 that the webpage that you linked to gave and it didn't work. Running in Safe mode didn't work either.
I even combined Option #1 (The .bat file) with the other options: Using Compatibility mode, having the Desktop Resolution running in the...
In 2006, "A Christmas story - Director's Cut" was designed for AOE2: The Conquerors
(http://aok.heavengames.com/blacksmith/showfile.php?fileid=8144).
It looks like an excellent scenario.
Unfortunately, even when I follow the installation instructions correctly, it crashes after the opening...
Here I want to give more helpful details about the Multiplayer maps, arranged chronologically, in case people want to play them online. I am giving information like the date, AOE or ROR version, and which players are allied. The underlined ones are good for playing with Rookies due to power...
Thanks for replying, Wattle.
On the AOE:DE list that you linked to, the only one from this time period is
Varus, oh Varus! | Battle of the Teuteburger Forest
(https://www.ageofempires.com/mods/details/236/)
The AOE Heaven Granary has a separate database of AOE:DE Scenarios.
I played the ones...
I have been playing Rise of Rome a lot lately because it is one of few games with Scenarios with events of the 1st to 2nd Centuries AD. The Scenarios helped familiarize myself with the period when Christianity began. Below I am listing chronologically all Scenarios that I know of for this time...
In the Editor, it turns out that the Designer has "Either" (Human or Computer) chosen for Player 1, and all other Players are only set to Computer. So I am skeptical now that the Commentor meant that the Designer made it so that you can choose which Player you want to be in Multiplayer.
I guess...
I have lately been creating my own scenarios, and one of the options that you have is that you can allow players to select their side when they are in multiplayer. So that is what the reviewer must have meant, I think.
UPDATE:
I was able to beat AROUND THE MOUNTAIN on the EASIEST setting. One difference in my tactics that let me beat it was upgrading my catapult to the highest levels of technology so that I could shoot Grey's towers without getting hit back. I also generally only concentrated on attacking one...
