Hello everyone
It's been a minute since I've been active in the community. I've recently relaunched aoestats now that I have some more free time. aoestats aggregates the latest data for AOE II: DE and analyzes civ win rates. I thought with the new patch folks here might be interested to see...
I think we have enough data to be accurate when looking across all ELOs and looking across the bottom two brackets. It will take until about halfway through the patch to be confident in the stats, true.
1650+ is only the top 300 players. The sample size is definitely super tiny. While I agree...
I totally agree with the 1650+ ELO bracket. The number of games at that level is very very small so I wouldn't use it to judge the overall performance of a civ. However, it is fun to look at that slice of the population to see what very top tier people are playing and winning with :) But, yes...
Hello all,
Last year I created aoestats.io to showcase AoE II civ win rates on the Voobly platform. I'm happy to announce that I've recently updated the website with AoE II DE stats! All stats are updated daily and derived from aoe2.net. Huge props to them! Please send them some love.
Along...
That is correct, mirrors are excluded from the pick rate stat as well. You're probably right about the Persian pick rate being much higher in actuality in that case.
That's a good idea. I'll have to play around with the data to determine what a good elo difference is to exclude. I may have to...
Hey guys. I'm the creator of aoestats.io. I'll make some clarifications and am happy to answer any further questions.
First, I agree the sample size for 1650+ games is super duper small. 1650+ only includes roughly the top 300 players  I added that elo stratification mostly for my own...
I just don't understand what they hope to gain from this... Not to mention no warning, no public discussion, and absolutely zero discourse before enacting such a change? Fingers crossed they will at least open up a discussion with the community on this topic instead of blindly rolling out these...
Hey everyone! I just updated the site (aoestats.io) with win rates by age, elo filtering (it's in the top right), and a better stats table. Khmer apparently aren't as bad as we thought (but still pretty bad). This change also removes all mirror match ups from the stats analysis.
ELO brackets...
Awesome suggestions! Thanks for taking the time to nicely summarize them. I'm definitely going to add win percentage vs. age! I can't believe I forgot that. I meant to put that in v1, but I forgot. Thanks for the reminder! Definitely gotta tweak the UI elements slightly, I sort of rushed the...
Yeah, definitely going to implement that. Good idea and thanks for taking a look!
Thanks for the ideas and I'm glad you like it! The tech tree is great. It is implemented very well. Big fan! I'm also very curious how these stats vary by elo. That's the next "big thing" that I'm going to...
Hello all!
First, if this is not the appropriate place to post this please let me know so I can move the thread (or move it for me mods).
Second, I'd like to show everyone what I've been working on recently: aoestats.io.
Aoestats is a custom website I made that scrapes match data from Voobly...
