I am glad Hera made this video. His statement that he achieved everything with aoe2 was confusing but now it makes sense, he likes to play competitive games everyday for 4-8 hours which aoe2 can't provide with the current 1v1 ladder and it is totally understandable. On the other hand, another...
I think Nili's mistake was calling the tournament NAC4 or N4C since the previous NACs are a very beloved AOE2 events among the community, so overwriting it with an AOE4 caused a lot of backlash. If it was just an AOE4 LAN event it would have had less controversy.
Update from the last tweet: "*Correction: Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick says that the deal is expected to only close June of 2023. Once the deal closes, the Activision Blizzard business will report to Phil Spencer, CEO, Microsoft Gaming."
I got worried for a moment that Bobby will...
We can't tell for sure if AOE4 is a failure because we don't exactly know what Microsoft planned for the game. If their goal was just to sell well on release, then we need to look at the sales number (I think it sold well but I don't have any statistics about that). However, if their plan was a...
When AOE4 roadmap was announced and everyone was so excited about it, I questioned myself because for me the devs were like "we will fix the game after 0.5-1 year" so why that much excitement?
Turned out that it's just hopes and wishes for the game to be good which is opposite to reality.
Many great games were excellent at launch like GTA5, Red dead redemption 2, dark souls 3, breath of the wild and a lot more games. Even the indie game Hades was great on launch. The problem is that these days, gaming companies get away with half cooked products, false advertisements etc... and...
While relating the game price with how much content it has is a fair point, it's not the only factor, and we can't compare it with people's income either imo. It should be compared to other video games. In this case 60$ is not cheap, it is the highest possible price a video game should go, which...
Probably many people enjoy that the game is fresh and the meta is not figured out yet. In addition, viewers that are new to RTS might also enjoy watching it. However, for me Aoe4 falls behind compared to other games like Aoe2 or SC2. The game doesn't look good, the combat is not enjoyable to...
It's normal for a new game to get a lot of hype in the beginning. Aoe2 is not going anywhere, the interest might decline a bit for some time but people will eventually come back. And remember KOTD4 is coming soon which is one of the best events of Aoe2.
I don't think this would make any difference since ballistics/siege engineers are way too expensive for feudal/castle age and no one will research them before castle/imperial age anyways.
My idea for a Burmese buff is to make crossbow or elite skirmisher upgrade free. This will give them a nice...
I use FB a lot because all my friends and family members are there and every time I click on FB gaming tab I feel that I switched to a platform from the stone age. It needs a lot of work to make it a somewhat decent streaming platform.
