Most of the admin's proof for their decision is probably other top players' analysis, and I can see a couple reasons why they wouldn't post that publicly. But what's in those 2 posts is pretty thin. They don't even say which rule(s) he broke.
Huh interesting, first I've heard of FB gaming ads. I'm subbed to T90, not Viper. I haven't seen ads on either stream although tbf I do watch a lot more T90 than Viper. Maybe the algorithm spares you if it knows you're still putting money in somewhere?
@HappyLeaves really interesting, where do you get those charts?
Also while people are happy to point out FB's problems (which are quite real), one distinct advantage it has over Twitch is the complete lack of ads. I don't think it will remain that way forever since I don't see how it could be...
Does anyone have good perspective on how much of an effect switching games in a tournament has on high level players? I really like the idea of an event that brings together the different games in the franchise, but should we expect this to impact the performance of people who are trying to...
I sincerely doubt the announcement will be related to switching game content. Reason being, it would be VERY bizarre to announce in the middle of a tournament you're (potentially) still participating in that you're switching to a different game. After the tournament would make a lot more sense...
I've been involved in charity and private fundraising in my work, and I think Robo's post is pretty accurate except a few small points I'd nitpick. First, having metrics (ideally using similar past events as a benchmark) isn't a nice addition - it's absolutely essential to the process...
Members of the community fund tournaments but we don't do this type of crowdfunding. The current method is fine for picking up the people willing to put down a few hundred or thousand dollars but it misses all the people like me who would give $10 or $20 to a tournament we like. Maybe there...
You know this is an idea I've thought about for a while too - what's stopping us from crowdfunding events this way? I don't think we necessarily need to replace major sponsors like MS but it would be a nice way to boost the bottom line for some tournaments and maybe even make some others...
That's interesting OP because I got into a vill fight in 1v1 nomad last week and lost, and I even said to the opponent after I wonder if I would get a timeout for it, but I didn't. I can't remember the exact length of the game but it was pretty quick and I would guess sub-5 minutes game time.
