That’s just an obvious bug thoughNow that it's a hot topic, take care of the mangonel bullshit as well as @Memeluke pointed it out.

This sounds like a good idea.Perhaps we should make one comprehensive list (topic) where people would bring all kind of bugs and then send it to developers or something.
I meant to remove it not banThat’s just an obvious bug though

This has absolutely nothing to do with angle, in both cases the units are benefiting from attack move bugged bonus speed, whether it was used perfectly or made a huge difference in the game has nothing to do with this thread, the example is there just to show what it looks like and that it IS being abused by players. In these clips, Margou chases down Liereyy be as use of the change of angle - hence he is having to travel a shorter distance
Liereyy stops being able to chase down Margou once Margou stops returning fire.
These 2 clips don’t actually demonstrate the effectiveness of attack move in almost removing the need to stop, as another factor is more significant in each case.
The use of attack move in not having to stop to fire is more noticeable in galleys than archers I find as well.
It’s as much a feature as dodging ballistics - all about good timing and attention
tbh: do we really want that? Doesn't the delete trick mean that you are having a chance to fight a siege push if there is a hill in front of your base, instead of basically losing the game right there, if you have commited the cardinal sin of adding town centers? Now that it's a hot topic, take care of the mangonel bullshit as well as @Memeluke pointed it out.
It was being kept as a secret for experts until it was being more and more abused, casters watch the game on god mode, they don't really analyze the games they just mock on player's weakness and focus on mangonel shots or quick walls so unless it is a game breaking bug they usually don't notice those things.I’ve never heard of this before, why don’t casters mention it in games, or is it illegal in tournaments?
game mechanics dont need to make sense. there is no reason obsidian arrows would add bonus damage to buildings, the fire ship unit line existing, spearman losing vs swordsman or tons of other things either. doesnt matter, all thats important is how it is effecting gameplayExplain to me calmly why destroying your catapult should add more damage to the projectiles you've already thrown. You can't refute this.
lmao we're crying about a bug on stream, on aoezone, on twitter, in twitch chat and complaining about how it's been there for 2 years, while being too lazy to even report it once on the official forums? Sounds like us aoezone users.Suprisingly there was no bug reported like this yet on the official forums so made a thread:
Attack move can be abused to gain extra unfair movement speed

If you have an account please upvote it so it might get some attention. If i missed something please let me know. I am not sure how effective the forum is but its worth a shot i guess.
Yeah not sure if there is other channels but thats kinda typical. Maybe i missed some earlier thread idk the forums are kinda confusing but i dont think so.lmao we're crying about a bug on stream, on aoezone, on twitter, in twitch chat and complaining about how it's been there for 2 years, while being too lazy to even report it once on the official forums? To be fair to us it's not as if reporting a bug on the official forums would actually have done anything 11lmao we're crying about a bug on stream, on aoezone, on twitter, in twitch chat and complaining about how it's been there for 2 years, while being too lazy to even report it once on the official forums? They have repeatedly said this is one of their preferred ways of communication. Doesnt mean everything there gets attention. But at least the devs have something to point to as an issue of work.To be fair to us it's not as if reporting a bug on the official forums would actually have done anything.
This is a positive development if true. But being harsh on their earlier performance (and thus our expectations for how they do) is absolutely fair given examples like yours. And remember it took them four weeks to "hot"fix the Malians uptime bug!i reported a bug with shift queuing attacks in august 2020 and it took till february 2022 to fix it.
Tho lately things seem to be better and the forum staff seem to be more active and responsive.
Oops missed this earlier. If this is the case I am surprised this issue with attack move boosting archer speed did not receive more attention earlier since right clicking to focus fire specific units has always been a big part of ranged unit micro. Unless the boost only happens when directly inputting an attack move command rather than an implicit attack move command, which would truly be the most delicious bowl of spaghetti possible.Completely separate.
Right click is broken as it pertains to how the game worked before DE. A right click in current DE is an attack move command -- if you have units on aggressive/defensive etc. They will peel off and attack other units unless on stand ground. Extremely annoying when dealing with monks when your units decide "Hey you know what? Instead of doing what you asked us to do and killing the monk, let's just let our bud get converted and attack this building/unit that is closer than what you right clicked instead."
Towers/Tc's/Fortifications also still prioritize buildings over units -- extremely annoying when them hitting once/twice can mean the difference between being up a vil/two in a game.
Normal behavior is that regardless of units stance a right click will mean the unit will attack until that unit is killed or leaves field of vision (wouldn't even say LOS, so long as you can see it the right click command persists), then reverts to existing attack stance.
