The list was done by Ricci (a Liquipedia employee) and shared in the Liquipedia Discord.
Small note: Kaiserklein is an Age of Empires 3 player who hosted and won his own S-tier tournament.
Does T90 play AoE II? If yes (and it is yes), he is a player.I don't think T90 should really be considered a player for the purposes of this list. Nili you would also say owes his "fame" more to casting and promoting the competitive scene than to participating in it but he still makes an active effort to qualify for RM events and is still a top DM player.
Clown Legion players are top8 team, nice! You normally need to win a kind of serious 1v1 tournament (pretty much) to deserve a page if you start as a random nobody, that or be part of one of the top 8 teams in the world in an S-tier event.
There are people with C-tier tournaments with own pagesif a player with t90's tournament results had a page on liquipedia, Adico would nuke it like 30 seconds after creation... so no he's not a player.

No, he meant it as all of us won important tournament. Darknoob won CL League, D3rp won Wonder Cup, Terror won that one tournament where he got AW in every match. Bloodless and Rmcoo still need to prove themselves with a major tournament win to get a liqupedia page.Clown Legion players are top8 team, nice!
Perhaps it should be that way, but there are dozens of absolute nobodies with pages on liquipediaif a player with t90's tournament results had a page on liquipedia, Adico would nuke it like 30 seconds after creation... so no he's not a player.

Not really up to me. The LP contributor team uses a notability checker that looks at all their known tournament results to determine how many points they have. If they pass a threshold, they are either open for discussion or just straight up notable.if a player with t90's tournament results had a page on liquipedia, Adico would nuke it like 30 seconds after creation... so no he's not a player.

"Absolute nobodies" is a pretty relative term. There are plenty of players grinding tournaments, and just because they get KOd in ro32 or ro64 does not mean they are not putting in the time to show up.Perhaps it should be that way, but there are dozens of absolute nobodies with pages on liquipedia
I'm not talking about players who play in A tier and S tier tournaments and get to the round of 32/64, I'm talking about players with <5 tournament appearances on liquipedia or others with only C-tier tournament appearances (C-tier being a generous designation)"Absolute nobodies" is a pretty relative term. Having an LP page is more about being someone who is playing regularly than being a good player. Being good makes it an easy discussion, being consistent makes it inevitable. It makes our work as contributors easier too since we can call player info from their page instead of inputting it again every time they play a tournament.
If by any chance you are looking at some AoE4 player pages, then that might be down to them being notable in other Liquipedia wikis (starcraft, Warcraft, etc)I'm not talking about players who play in A tier and S tier tournaments and get to the round of 32/64, I'm talking about players with <5 tournament appearances on liquipedia or others with only C-tier tournament appearances (C-tier being a generous designation)
The player base of the franchise is so tiny compared to other games in the wiki that I even love to read something about the tournament champ that once won the C-Tier tourney in 2003 to be honest. :Dto avoid those 1 tournament champ situations
I think that isn't even up for discussion. Tournament hosts and casters have their own notability criteria where he would have (some of) the highest scores, it is more about the top 20 list in the starting post.Well, I am not a t90 fan boy, but to take away his Age of Empires page is a bit trivial. He has amassed a very large following and that should not be ignored.
No list for tournaments so far, but for an article I did for team liquid, Liquipedia shared some info:I think that isn't even up for discussion. Tournament hosts and casters have their own notability criteria where he would have (some of) the highest scores, it is more about the top 20 list in the starting post.
@longinator Is there also a list for tournaments?
I think who is in the top 6-8 or so should be relatively easy to figure out, but 10-20 I am curious about.
List will come out around next week, among other "smaller" wikis - I saw the list for Dota 2 for example.I think that isn't even up for discussion. Tournament hosts and casters have their own notability criteria where he would have (some of) the highest scores, it is more about the top 20 list in the starting post.

If the purpose of the website is to give information about Age of Empires 2 then t90 has earned his page in my opinionI think that isn't even up for discussion. Yeah he has definitely earned a page in Liquipedia. He just shouldn't be counted among people who have earned their notoriety primarily from playing AoE competitively. If the purpose of the website is to give information about Age of Empires 2 then t90 has earned his page in my opinion
Good catch, will see if there is something to be changed on the point system and talk with the rest of the contributor team.@Adico doesn't look like that notability tool is really used instead of popularity.
It is true that quite a few players who have a high enough notability score don't have a page, which mainly are players who have their score from events several years ago, but were not top 64 in any S tier tournament recently. So nobody was checking their scores or interested in creating their pages. If Influenza or his team reach a good placement in any upcoming A or S tier tournament, probably someone would create his page.@Adico doesn't look like that notability tool is really used instead of popularity.
Looks like influenza is 14x times more notable than hoang but only one of them has a page.
