So he is less affected by playing a series in the evening than MBL?Viper doesn't have a real job unlike MBL
Yes, that's the case in my opinion. He can adjust his sleep schedule easily not having to get up with obligations the next morning. So he is less affected by playing a series in the evening than MBL?
How could you believe otherwise...So he is less affected by playing a series in the evening than MBL?
I guess you could say it is obvious enough I didn't need to ask to make sure. How could you believe otherwise...
Hera will have a free path to the quarterfinals; he will be facing vinchester at a good hour for canada, an atrocious hour for rusia
you would think that is the case; the middle of the series will be after 1 am , the schedule was prolonged pretty much everyday; IMO the whole competition day starts too late; till now, MBL got the short end of the stick, vinchester will join him with an even later seriesYeah it's almost midnight for Vinch while afternoon for Hera. Could easily start this as 1st series of the day so 3 hours earlier. 9PM start is much better than midnight start.
I would agree that this was the case for the Ro32 which started at 15:00 GMTthe schedule was prolonged pretty much everyday; IMO the whole competition day starts too late
we are talking about rusia local hour; 7 out of the 8 game you stated started AFTER 11pm for vinchester, half of the 8 games started AFTER midnight for vinchester; as i said, middle of the match will be after 1am for himI would agree that this was the case for the Ro32 which started at 15:00 GMT
Last matches of the day were:
For the group stage, they adjusted it to start at 14:00 GMT
- dogao vs F1Re: 20:20 GMT
- Vinchester vs TheMax: 22:00 GMT
- Liereyy vs Daniel: 20:30 GMT
- Hera vs Zuppi: 22:40 GMT
Last matches of the day were:
There is only the last day which is an outliner for the group stage.
- Liereyy vs slam: 19:35 GMT
- Hera vs Sitaux: 20:35 GMT
- Nicov vs dogao: 21:30 GMT
- TheViper vs MbL: 22:15 GMT
Tbf though for this friday, I can see all 4 decider matches going long/till the 5th game. But they also haven't announced the exact schedule yet so maybe wait for that.
PS: Times were taken from the Liquipedia page. We normally take the exact starting time and round them in 5min intervalls. If you find any mistakes, feel free to point them out or correct them yourself in the wiki!
agree; start the whole tournament day 2 hours earlier and you solve 90% of the problems; if canada vs europe or vietnam vs south america happens, adjust it maybe so neither of the players are playing at impossible hours; let's face it: memb's morning is 13:00 time, that's the root cause of most of these schedulesLate-night games have always been a reality, and they will continue to be if only one game is played at a time. It's always midnight somewhere. I personally think start times should be an hour or so earlier each day - even 13:00 or 12:00 GMT is reasonable. The only way to really help is to let players schedule matches themselves, but that would be worse for fans who just want to know when the big names are playing.
Schedule for Friday the 3rd of December@Dusk2Dawn And you know that Vinchester's match will be the last set of the day? Is there a calendar post from Chrazini/Memb or an announcement in the discord server? Because I dont see any of those.
The Liquipedia dates are still the default ones, set up before the tournament even began.
And even if Vinchester is gonna have the last match, its a sad reality in the AoE2 competitive scene that Asians and to some degree Eastern Europeans have to play late/midnight because tournament organizers have to cater the audience (majority coming from NA/SA/Europe). In the end it is, less viewers, no sponsors, no tournament for the players to begin with (dramatically speaking).
Other esport titles do regional tournaments to overcome that issue. But that would be not feasible with how little the scene is and I'm glad that we can have those matches with players from different continents.
Cannot help but disagree here. Shifting player and viewer numbers were to be expected considering the hype around AoE4. However, already now we see that the average number of monthly AoE2 players is not negatively affected. We also see that player numbers dropped in the last month for both games. Obviously, there is no long-term data for AoE4, yet. But for AoE2, the numbers are well within the normal fluctuation of the past two years (since the release of DE).This game is almost dead.
Thanks for the info. Its nice to know that you guys kept playing times in mind.Hello guys hope that you guys are enjoying as much as i do with KOTD4, about players scheduled games, is a teamwork we do, is not memb who decide everything.
We try to get the best possible times for everyone involved, when there is that many games involved like has been till now, about this week there is many things being considered when involve these amount of players, i personally wanted DauT series last or 3rd according to the prime time mentioned before but we made the schedule with the intention to give everyone the best times possible for all.
About Vinchester, i personally talked to him and he told me that is fine for him, he is so great and positive and even told me, memb if i lose count with me to cast more games together, so you can imagine how the great russian bother about the time he is playing.
Lets enjoy this weekend because is going to be epic.
We love this game.
Any of the other three sets seem like more appropriate candidates for 21.30 start time than that one. No other player lives as far east as Vinchester does and 19.00 at the very least does not impose an unreasonably early start time on Hera.Schedule for Friday the 3rd of December
14.00 GMT, DauT vs Villese
16.30 GMT, TaToH vs Nicov
19.00 GMT, MbL vs Sitaux
21.30 GMT, Hera vs Vinchester
I really like this post because of the way the criticism was addressed and the way it was conveyed. Memb becoming pro at PR.Hello guys hope that you guys are enjoying as much as i do with KOTD4, about players scheduled games, is a teamwork we do, is not memb who decide everything.
