Because some people enjoy having a place where you are free to discuss. Unlike most Twitch channels where you only find similar thinking to that of the streamer, as anything else is heavily discouraged or outright banned. In such places if users want to be accepted and well liked they learn what to say and how to say it, and thus groupthink is born.
This is a very interesting topic. Youtube and Twitch are somewhat of a democratization of what TV used to be. And we're seeing how individuals have internalized censorship and other "pensée unique" traits and proceed to apply those themselves.
The whole idea of "aoezone is just a drama cesspool" has a lot to do with that. Same for all those times people ask for threads to be locked. The mind finds it hard to accept that there are ways of thinking that are wildly different to our own. It will try its best to turn a blind eye to them, be it through ridicule, censorship or any other method.
But alas, I'm digressing again! Luckily Aoezone tends to allow it
Go ahead it’s the same as here.@chacotanlines Can you give me your twitch name and I will look at your chat history again
Twitch is private, aoezone is public. Whether we agree with OP or think that he's childish on this specific topic is irrelevant. He has the right to voice his opinion and we have a right to tell him off for it. So if you steer the discussion to the abstract notion on whether a discussion can be held, the answer must be a resounding yes. That said, would I have made such a post? Oh god no. But I accept (if not respect) his right to post it.no, you are wrong, twitch channels are not public channels, are private channels you might agree or not with the content creator, if you don´t you just watch someone else, if mbl banned that guy, he has to reach him out, and if mbl behave like an ass or whatever with him, just stop watching him, but bring this topic into a age of empires forum for me is absolutly childish, and prove me that mbl did right banning him, an innocent guy dont come to forums to bring those topics.
This is the important distinction for me. Seems like the post is more out of malice and resentment of MbL as opposed to understandable frustration with being unfairly banned. It's less of a "what the ****, why did I get banned, this is bullshit" and more of a "hey guys by the way you shouldn't sub to MbL because he unfairly bans people ok bye"Yeah, it’s really childish since it is a 2 month old incident. Not like it happened a few days ago.
There did he imply that? If a viewer can't express their opinion or jest then something is messed-up.lol you think just because you gave someone money they have to treat you like a holly lord and listen to all your bullshit.
"It's not exactly the same" might just be the understatement of the year. It’s not exactly same, but reminds me of some movie where a woman divorces a guy who isn’t rich. Just wants nothing to do with him. Years later he becomes a celebrity and suddenly she drags him through court to take shots at his rep and wallet. Not cool to take a shot at mbl similarly.
Now, that is worth subbing for :lol:Imagine this
""It was my twin brother using my account." Then you deserve the ban as you two have the same shitty DNA!"
""I didnt really mean it mbl. Please unban me, ive subscribed for two years." You think two years enough? At least sub for two more years then Ill consider unbanning you. Bye."
""Im really sorry, pls unban me. JK **** you" OK this guy has a character Ill unban him. Nah just kidding **** you twice!"
Ooooh oooohGo ahead it’s the same as here.
And where else can people talk freely about topics important to them if not in public forums? Or did I miss something, that the only topics allowed here are ingame mechanics and tournaments? As you said yourself, twitch channels are not public or neutral, but this forum is. As long as you respect and follow the rules, you have the right to talk about everything important to you.no, you are wrong, twitch channels are not public channels, are private channels you might agree or not with the content creator, if you don´t you just watch someone else, if mbl banned that guy, he has to reach him out, and if mbl behave like an ass or whatever with him, just stop watching him, but bring this topic into a age of empires forum for me is absolutly childish, and prove me that mbl did right banning him, an innocent guy dont come to forums to bring those topics.

If the user feels an injustice towards him, he can talk about it here. And there is absolutely no connection with guilt or innocence, as you are trying to imply. This has also nothing to do with gossip or childish behaviour, if its done in a proper way without trolling or insults. Public forums are made for discussions of different opinions.
MBL reacted in a proper way to this thread. You on the other hand try to discredit this topic as disaster, gossip girl and why it shouldn't be locked instantly and thats definetly not ok.
So before writing a post on AoEZone we should consider whether it will attract sponsors to AoE and its casters 11I personally dont mind this topic itself but the quality content of this website, when sponsors check this forum and i can tell you they do, they see more and more of this, and then we are more gg than what you can imagine.

This. It is not a huge community. You can reach out to the streamer, or his mods, before creating a public drama postI think what Memb is trying to say is that it puts a shadow over the entire community when petty posts like this are created in the public eye. The OP just needed to reach out to MbL or one of his channel mods and ask for an explanation.
Yeah, the thread is dumb, but Memb went further suggested that the thread be locked:I think what Memb is trying to say is that it puts a shadow over the entire community when petty posts like this are created in the public eye. That's asking for censorship for the "greater good".What I don’t know is that these posts are not locked instantly, is this aoezone or gossip girls???
Seriously disaster.
The amount of drama aimed towards players/casters like MbL, Hera and Memb on this forum is ridiculous, the guys can't breath on there streams without someone kicking up a fuss.
well you're wrong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwoq3QBaQAY[...]all I am saying is you cant clap with one hand[...]
