Maybe, but it seems devs don't want to/can't ban his accountsthat seems like waaay more effort then just banning him and his alts
In that case the prompt thing is a nice middle-ground

Well you can stop him from getting good games if you ban him early. That would at the very least be annoying. This will also prevent him from getting good content for his stream etc. If he is forced to play against "plebs" it wont be much fun for him. Ofc there is always a way but you can still force him to put the effort in and dont have to give him completely free reign. But that's not the problem - he can just keep making new accounts ad infinitum, which is what he's doing. If you look at some of the accounts Ertug used to use, some have played their last games months ago (i. e. they've been banned), and yet he's always made new accounts, or started using other people's accounts. If we were dealing with a normal person, they would've given up by now, but it's safe to assume that Ertug, just like Zharoon, is not a normal person. How can you stop a person (any person) from just making new accounts? He's clearly willing to buy the game anew in the worst case, and even if he were IP banned it's not exactly hard to change your IP or use a VPN. We (or even better, Microsoft and/or Steam) will have to come out with creative solutions or -better yet- with a strong anti-cheat system to deal with this problem. Against someone who's not right in the head, banning doesn't just magically solve the problem.
Of course you don't give him free reign, but he's been banned on several accounts and he keeps coming back, and it's hard to keep track of him until he starts matching higher rated opponents. For now I think the best choice is for players to just alt + f4 when they're matched vs him, and not give him games at all.Well you can stop him from getting good games if you ban him early. The what? How good is the anticheat system on DE?
Way worse than voobly for sureHow good is the anticheat system on DE?
I checked his farm rates in feudal age but they were normal there. How did you check the rates cuz with handcard you get 20 food per trip did you average it or something? Ill have another look, around what time are we talking about?Just to let you know, i tested farms working rate from the Huns vs Spanish game and seems like Ertug farmers work faster than Yo's one.
Ertug: no hand cart no heavy plow > 13 food in 18.5 seconds
Mr_Yo: hand cart + heavy plow > 13 food in 20 seconds
If u guys know something specific about this eco upgrades that i dont know tell me, for me it's not normal
Ah of course, his scout went directly to Yo cows after 3 minutes 11
If u give can give me some feedback, i'll post the clip
This has been going on for years and years. What makes you think this accumulation of "little frustrations" would work now? It's true that any committed cheater can evade bans if they really put their mind to it. But if they're forced to constantly buy the game over and over, start from the bottom of the ladder, play with a VPN, etc., then all those little frustrations will add up and might just cause them to stop.
Well yeah the all visible cheats are obvious but i didnt see any resource tamperingI'll make more tests, because i wanna be sure if this is suspicious or not. once i'll have my answers, i'll post the clip. @derpina276 41 minutes
Keep in mind this: with no exploration, Ertug decided to go for a 21 pop scouts no loom while being fully opened
mmm i dont understand if maybe hand cart has some influence, if i look at feudal age farms without wheelbarrow we have still different timings:Well yeah the all visible cheats are obvious but i didnt see any resource tampering
That's why i decided to remind that, no exploration with no loom and fully opened against mr yo means all visible mapErtug usually doesn't cheat with resources, he deletes enemy units in battles but mostly has learned to use the visible map cheat, since voobly he knows how to use that intel, where to find resources and know what is the enemy doing, in voobly he cheated at every single possible way, even without cheat tools, he was using other computer to spec and see the map, he can't be trusted.
It was public few months ago the chinese cheating tool being on sale in the web and even free on reddit, if some one will buy and use those things to boost his ego by cheating int he game, it is deftly ertug, the guy could have changed his ID long time ago, but he just want to be know for cheating and for not being caught.
I wouldn't focus on the food production, he went for such strategy cause he was seeing the map, so he knew he could play that way without getting punished.
Seems inductive proof that any resource cheat isn't possible, not hard proofHello guys,
last time I researched on AOE 2 DE cheating i made a thread about the possibilties with an old account (123hunter). Most people here probably remember.
Right now, AOE 2 DE Hacks are not given away for free, but they are sold on monthly subscription (see screenshot). Disabling Fog of War is definitely possible at the moment and the cheat status reads "undetected". Res cheat seems not possible at the moment.
I will let you know when I find out more.
The game is not being computed on the server. It is simply a "rewiring station" which computers can connect to.Okay, just to get this clear. There is no proof for the res cheat right?
Because that would be really surprising to me because of the way aoe2de works (serverbased)
The game is not being computed on the server. It is simply a "rewiring station" which computers can connect to.
All computers participating still have to compute everything in the game themselves. That's why we still have lag issues when one or several of the computers in the game cannot keep up with the computations - it lags the entire game. This would not have been an issue if the computations would have been done server side, such as in games as CS:GO.
So resource cheats I would assume work just as well as they did on Voobly and HD since all the computations work just the same way as they did before.
It's only the peer to peer connection aspect that has been removed with the servers.
To that extent, I don't know.Do the servers not verify if both players are using the same version etc. ? Should this not cause a desync?
