I think they do? I mean they beta tested the game when it came out. Im not sure if they do it anymore, i might be wrong and im just supposing something.Do pro players test anything before it comes out?

They are very incomplete civs. But thats the root of the problem they are more like subfactions, like half civs. So few civ bonuses, so few uniqueness. They feel like designed to be SP only civs to have some more campaigns (even though campaigns for existing civs would be much more necessary and nice) but then they thought they can sell this stuff better if they make the civs they designed over night to be a necessary purchase to remain competitive.two more farming civs
farming civs are the worst. they're braindead to play with position-picking and then end up underpowered on better maps/settings
the bonus of having earlier economy upgrades looks interesting though
i don't like that sicily seems to get nothing relevant before the farm + tc spam stage of the game (except a broken start on nomad which they probably didn't even consider because practically every change they've made from 25 wood houses to malian nonsense to 100% faster tc construction breaks nomad)
We can judge that they broke their word that if you buy DE you will have all civs in one package that are relevant. Pretty much necessary to evaluate if AoE2DE is worth buying it.Microsoft: "These balance changes might change before release"
AOEZone: NOOO YOU CANT DO THAT, THATS BROKEN NOOOOOO THE GAME IS DEAD
im pretty sure they are going to test it with the proplayers like they always do, or at least fix it when it comes out, specially Burgundians who sound OP, or maybe im wrong, but balance changes are usually the thing that is easiest to fix in any patch. I dont understand the problem. Truth is start ripping off on the DLC before it even is showns with gameplay or beta test from someone with experience is pretty dumb.
And yes, i also think that theres performance issues they should have fixed before making this expansion. 1 year and team games still suck.
Btw happy the Burgundians finally have their own civ despite being the clown civilization in all the original campaigns. Some redemption to them.

They are just like 85% percent of the players who purchased DE, they play on single player, huehehe.Yes they've done a great job of testing patches and balances so far.
Literally every single update breaks the game and it takes them forever to fix. I didn't play for like 2 months because of how utterly ridiculous Steppe Lancers were. And now they're pretty useless. What even was the point? Khmer farming, every single goth "balance", breaking Malay. All things that should have been found by play testing. The worst is the recent lag though, claiming to improve late game performance but instead making it completely unplayable. Did they even play a single game? They don't test ****.
why the dlc cost 9,99$ and i have to pay 9,99€
Microsoft also happens to have moderator's who actively influence/remove posts on each of those platforms, so I guess it also depends on your tolerance of censorship as well.
Well you don't have to pay it. You can always say nein nein nein
No worries next expansion is Central Europe. Swiss and Frisian. I heard that Switzerland is rich so want that money too. Then East European polish are requested often and maybe Estonians could be nice as uralic civ. And then maybe they go to Africa Asia or America. Or just split Britons into English and Walish and Celts into Scots and Irish. Cornish also could be nice. Teutons could get barbarians or Austrians. Oh the possibilities. Who cares about fascinating history of the globe when you can have more knight spam civs.Well I'm not opposed to new civs in theory but I agree with many here that they could have picked civs that are a bit more imaginative. We already have Franks and Italians.
Price is a little high if I'm being honest but it's not like I didn't spend more money on worse things before...ahem moving on. And would it kill them not to OUTRIGHT LIE to our faces like that? If you're not sure about new civs in the future, then just say so. What's so hard about staying vague on the topic?
In any case if they continue to release DLC, I sure hope they have some better ideas in mind for the future ...we have enough West European civs.
... It is possible however they add new civs but not as an expansion with 4 or 5 as we are used to now. May be DLCs with just one civ or two maximum and related campaings. But if any of this happens at all it will not be in near future i presume.
I am not sure the majority of the community is against thisthey brought something that the majority of the community is against (new civs)

The strange thing about this is I have seen tons of ppl asking for new civs. Here, on Steam forums, reddit, and aoe official forum. I have never seen Sicilians or Burgundians requested. 111
Fun fact aoe2 Italians don't speak Italian because Forgotten devs were lazy to record a fifth language back then. They speak latin. Also Byzantines spoke Greek in real life..
IKR...where did these civs even come from?
Goddamn you guys are negative.
