That. But only the team playing. I just took it from the BoA 2 rules."Spectators who are not team-external, verified streamers are not allowed. "
Does it mean that only verified streamers which are not related to any team are allowed to spectate?

But now I noticed that I have to change it, because like that e. g. no Spanish playing in the tournament could stream a match of a Spanish team, which is bad.
Do you have a suggestion how to deal with it? Just make it open?
I am not sure. I hope I can find answers until this evening. But how much is reasonable?3 or 4 minutes?Open with delay? (Is delay working though)
Open only for streamers? (with delay too)

The rules and settings are actually shorter than for most recent big tournaments. There is no civ draft, no banning, no home maps, no laming rules etc., everything is kept quite simple. The size of the rules and tournament is too big imo. People get scared off by this much reading, rules, settings and chaotic feel caused by the big number of posts.
It's actually a bit more games than many recent tournaments, but it's not much more than we had in Nations Cups, War is Coming etc. in the past. Also, most rounds are only Best of 3, so it's probably not 2000 games. The biggest thing for me though is that i am afraid the sheer amount of games will mean that people will not care about and/or watch the games. For me it just doesnt feel worth the effort of getting into adminning etc .
This is not only for top players, even if you just started the game a month ago, this is a good possibility for a first tournament experience and to meet new friends from your country.
With 1000 you might be at the lower end, especially in 1v1. Currently there are 6/170+ players with a rating below 1000 registered. But there are definitely many players around 1200-1300 1v1 rating.Hey, in honesty, do you think this?
I started the game less than a month ago and am sitting just under 1.1k. I took a look at 5 random names of subscribed players (that I didn't recognize) and they seemed to be 1.5k+
Not sure if it would be enjoyable for any player or viewer to have such unbalanced match-ups? I don't say this at all in terms of pride, it just doesn't seem fun to be part of that match or to watch it?
Anyway, I put this here more for other people like me lurking around the forums since my country (Portugal) doesn't even have a team
Good luck with the tournament!
"5. Other modes (Turbo, dogheball, CBA, Mirco Mania, Deat Match etc.): While it is interesting and I would not have anything against players earning medals for their countries in that way, I don't want to treat those game modes unfairly, so it would lead to possibly adding another 30+ brackets, requiring much more work and multiple admins who know these maps and modes well. Therefore I would propose, if at least 2 people declare that they want to organise those, running at the same time, then we can add the results to the overall medal rankings."Hey, it has potentially been asked already but I was not able to retrieve the information. What is the reasoning behind not including any DM at all? I feel like something like 1v1 DM Green Arabia would suit the "AoE Olympics" spirit of the tournament.

Yes, and in addition to that we have a Death Match World Cup running at the same time. I would think that the top DM players would not play 2 DM brackets at the same time, one with the chance to earn multiple 100 dollars, one which would only countribute to winning a similar amount for a whole country."5. If you first go to the sign ups and then want to figure out everything from there, it is difficult, as it is with every big tournament. But if you first read the announcement, watch the video (or not) and then the rules and settings (or not) and then look at the registration and sign-up, it is clearly structured.
The announcement is short and simple, but if you only read half of it, you might be confused, because the settings are new. But that could happen with any tournament.

I had never imagined anyone will cast or watch all games - did people watch Round of 256 of the Visible Cup? It's more for the players than for the casters.
About the numbers: Let's say half of the brackets happen, with 8 players. That would be 44 brackets with 8 matches each. That's 352 matches. If there was a clear winner in every match, it would be 880 games. Let's say half of them are not one-sided, that would be ~1300 games. It's less than the double of the Visible Cup.
I agree that there can be questions about some small details and that people might be surprised be the availability of choices, but if you read from the start to the end, it should not be hard to follow and definitely is not chaotic.
Just subscribe to this mod: https://www.ageofempires.com/mods/details/15397.where can I download the maps? for example double arabia?
So i asked around for people if they want to play and gathered a small team at the 1200-1700 elo range. I also asked the guys of the NC-Clan if they were gonna play in this and back then they had not looked into at all. At that point I was thinking that we can just sign up independantly and play the brackets we want to. But now they are actually signing up with a team consisting of the top players.opportunity for everyone to participate, independent of your skill level
I agree that some decisions might be harder and not everyone can play their favourite map in 1v1.I mean there are like 26 1v1 brackets right now so thats not even enough for everyone to play just one 1v1 bracket. And the hustle of deciding who gets the brackets they want and who has to play the ones that are left will be a complete headache.
