Rly great tournament, when i heard that redbull is sponsoring the tournament I expected to see a Tournament with the standard settings we know, but this tournament was not only something special because redbull sponsored it, but also because a great "new" gamemode was introduced.
Positives:
- The Mass-Qualifier was in my opinion the by far greatest qualifier I've ever seen. Hope we will see this more often.
- The smooth Main Stage, awesome production value with the highlight scenes right after evry series finished, the player profiles with old highlights, Casters being prepared to fill the time between series with interesting conversations, there was never a moment were I was bored.
- The Settings, EW was rly great to watch and I personally had no problem with time limit. Also I'm rly happy to see that drafting is back and we didn't see mirror games, in general the civ and match-up variety was awesome.
Negatives:
- I think it's a bit sad we never had anyone from redbull on-stream, maybe for a small Q&A at the end or before the final. This way the influence from redbull in this tournament felt really small, compared to the fact that this was they're own tournament.
- The CA Overlay was great, but at the same time rly confusing. On the first day I was so confused because of the overlay, that I was thinking about not watching the whole main stage, because there was no explanation and I did not understood the overlay. I think for such an overlay an explanation video is even more needed then for EW, because it is so far away from the normal spec-overlay.
- Technical issues, only 720p on the first day on twitch... why such things always happen? It feels to me like it is easy to avoid because why not start the stream 30min earlier to see if there are any issues with the stream or the sound or the cam's.
Overall this tournament was just amazingly well done, thanks for organizing it.
