I'd react with the laugh emote but I don't want to give you reaction score just for being the wrongest guy in the history of errors.Hera was just trolling in the final

Nice to know. HC3 tournament was amazing.Ofc my bro ❤
I'd put mr Yo as the true #2 the games speak for themselves(nac3 and hc3), the outcome favors hera due the big hype his fan base created around, so admin organizers put him in opposite seeds, also small tournaments shouldn't be considered, in the charity cup viper was playing 2% of his strength and he even said on his stream i am not going to try hard in small tournaments, only entertain viewers ._.We're still only in March but so far I've watched six 1v1 tournaments this year and every final has been Viper vs Hera. NAC3, HC3, FCC, Bonjwa, eParadise and Charity event.
Fair to say Hera has now established himself as the #2 player but the pack chasing Viper still have a ways to go.
Generally I agree. While Hera went to the finals in all of the six tourneys since DEs release, Yo only took part in three of them. NAC3 was a little bit different tho, as Yo lost 3-2 to Hera in the group stage, which made him face the snake in semi-final.I'd put mr Yo as the true #2 the games speak for themselves(nac3 and hc3), the outcome favors hera due the big hype his fan base created around, so admin organizers put him in opposite seeds, also small tournaments shouldn't be considered, in the charity cup viper was playing 2% of his strength and he even said on his stream i am not going to try hard in small tournaments, only entertain viewers ._.
I hope organizers take serious viper's words during hc3 interview, the only guy that gives him troubles is mr yo, so he should be the one in the opposite bracket and hera facing viper round 1 or 2, i feel sad for such a great player as mr yo, leaving the tournament with 2k dlrs after playing very good while hera got 8k+ dlrs for the games you saw and it was the same in nac3.

I don't agree about rigging - I don't think anything happened (well, maybe a small part of me believes that one can hit the random number generator more than once, but that's not a discussion I care much about). However, I agree about Mr. Yo likely being at least at the same level as Hera.
Of the listed events:
NAC3: Mr. Yo went a narrow 2-3 vs Hera, finishing third in the group stage. He then went on to 2-4 TheViper in the main event. This is in comparison with Hera's final of 4-6 vs TheViper - which is not a big difference.
HC3: Mr. Yo faced TheViper in quarterfinals, and took one game of four played. Hera faced TheViper in the finals, and took zero of four.
FCC: Mr. Yo did not participate.
Bonjwa Fight Night: No Asian players were invited.
eParadise: Literally only four players, no Mr. Yo.
Charity (I assume Empires Showdown II): Mr. Yo was to face TheViper after beating DauT, but it seems that something came up and it wasn't played, resulting in an AW for TheViper. From what was said during the MbL vs Yo showmatches, it seems that Mr. Yo couldn't play for a decent while.
It's really hard to say that Mr. Yo was anything but perhaps a bit unlucky in always facing TheViper in the quarter and semi-finals. It's kinda sad, in a way. It seems like two of the nicest players in the AoE2 community (Mr. Yo and Nicov) get rougher brackets and early matchups against TheViper rather more often than the average.
For a "serious" 1v1 arabia (or at least "serious" maps) tourney with standard settings I agree, either group stages or double elim is a nice idea (like in the DMWC? iirc), but for HC format I don't think it's workable, just due to the sheer amount of extra work required for each step. Also it can kinda kill the hype sometimes. That's why I think a double-elimination is really needed in a serious 1v1 tournament, as the question of #1 player is less controversial than that of #2.

I don't like double elimination concept for these two reasons:
1 ==> it requires extra time and work, also viewers/players might get bored of the settings/maps.
2 ==> players will likely not play at 100% since they have another chance.
I think a lot of people really disliked Double Elimination since Masters of Arena, where there were huge delays for the Winners Bracket due to the time it took for the Lower Bracket games to finish. I think nowadays tournaments are more professional and I doubt we would see the same amount of delays. You could also do a Double Elimination from for example the Quarter Finals onwards, to not have to many games. And in double elimination we will likely see more close matches: maybe vivi vs Nicov vs Bact vs TheMax in round 1 of loser bracket, and lierey vs daut vs yo vs mbl in round 2, the winner of which faces tatoh or dogao, and challenges Hera in the final of loser bracket. None of these matches will be boring for the viewers, in my mind, though none of them happened in the single elimination system.
Double elimination for DM World Cup was pretty good imho. However, I'm not sure if Double Elimination is the best for Hidden Cup, since it makes the amount of admin work even more and makes it pretty much impossible to cast the event in one weekend.
It comes down to what you think is more likely a) it was rigged or b) the admins randomly got a top ~3% draw for viewership.I don't agree about rigging - I don't think anything happened (well, maybe a small part of me believes that one can hit the random number generator more than once, but that's not a discussion I care much about).

It was actually 5-4RE: Hera vs Yo. From just HC3 and NAC3, it's clear Hera outperformed Yo. Hera lost only 3 series, none to anyone but Viper (8-3). Yo went 4-4 and lost 2x to Viper, once to Hera and once to Max. Yo barely got out of R1 in HC3 vs Villese. Add in all the success Hera had in the small tournaments (even against a non-tryhard Viper), Hera is the clear #2.
